Digital radiographs allow for a greater degree of flexibility and manipulation, which means that your animal is not subjected to repeat x-ray exposure. Getting an idea of what your animal looks like from the inside out is helpful in the diagnosis of injuries to bones and joints, the spinal column which can lead to a number of different issues. In addition to diagnosing bone and muscloskeletal injuries, they are also helpful in certain diagnoses related to the heart and lungs, as well as in situations where it is suspected that an animal has swallowed a foreign object, among many others.
